There are two moments you never forget
You stop the car somewhere you have never been — at the end of a coastal road, on an empty beach, the sea in front of you — and you realise you do not have to drive anywhere else. You have arrived. This is where you stay.
You open the zip and see the sea from two metres up, with the sun rising over the water.
Overlander was born out of a desire to make moments like these accessible.
Off-road is about the obstacle. Overlanding is about the journey.
- 2012 — The beginning The story starts with the founding of WTD Logistic. Overlander does not exist as a brand yet, but the commercial groundwork is laid and experience accumulates in equipping vehicles built for off-road and expedition use.
- December 2018 — Offroad Mania In December 2018 the Offroad Mania website is launched. It is one of the most important moments in the company’s evolution and a clear step into selling equipment dedicated to 4x4 and off-road vehicles. Through Offroad Mania, a direct relationship starts to grow with the community of people passionate about off-road, 4x4 vehicles, winches, car accessories, equipment for difficult terrain and preparing vehicles for adventure. Offroad Mania becomes the base of technical and commercial experience out of which Overlander would later emerge.
- 23 December 2022 — Overlander is born The OVERLANDER trademark is officially registered. After almost a decade of company activity and several years of hands-on experience in the 4x4 market, a brand emerges, built around a new direction: overlanding. Practical, rugged and accessible equipment for people who actually travel.
- 2023 — The first full year An identity of its own takes shape, separate from the classic off-road world: rooftop tents, camping, travel, outdoor living, adventure. The rooftop tent becomes the central product, but the direction is broader from the start — not just a tent brand, but a complete ecosystem for travel. The first Overlander rooftop tent models also go on sale: DISCOVER, ADVENTURE and EXPLORER, ideal for two to four people.
- 2024 — The range expands ARMOR TOP and TRAVELLER are added, two models built around ease of use: quick to open and close, and recommended for two people. As the range grows, Overlander expands beyond rooftop tents: tent annexes, awnings and awning rooms, car fridges, camping equipment, outdoor accessories and everything involved in setting up a camp. With more and more products out in the field, an essential part of the business appears: AFTER-WARRANTY SUPPORT. A rooftop tent is not a decorative product. It is carried over hundreds or thousands of kilometres. It is exposed to rain, wind, sun, dust, cold, vibration, forest roads and repeated use. That is why Overlander puts more and more emphasis on spare parts, service, repairs and technical support.
- 2025 — The full range and the community NOVA and NOMAD join the range, built for expeditions and for harsh conditions. With seven product families, Overlander covers different types of users and vehicles, because there is no single perfect tent for everyone: someone travelling solo has different needs from a family, and a compact SUV has different limits from an expedition 4x4. As the number of users grows, a community starts to form around the brand: people who travel, who camp, who build their vehicles for adventure and who keep discovering new places. Information from someone who has driven a route or used a piece of equipment for dozens of nights can be worth more than any sales brochure.
- 2026 — A new chapter The portfolio moves beyond the initial rooftop tent concept and covers more and more parts of a complete overlanding setup, with the addition of cargo storage and organisation systems.
Every piece of feedback we get from you ends up in the next Overlander rooftop tent. We keep designing, testing and improving — because Free for adventure is not just a slogan, it is what forces us to be better every year.
Thank you to our customers and to the Overlander community for their trust —it is the only reason we have come this far.
